NSLI-Y | TUSA | CLS | NYU SHANGHAI
Hi, I’m Jaime! I’m a New York University Shanghai student from the Seattle area. In 2016, I received a NSLI-Y (National Security Language Initiative for Youth) scholarship to study Chinese in Deyang, China for 6 weeks, which led to the creation of this blog. Since then, I’ve also used this as a space to document my time in the TUSA (Taiwan-US Sister Relations Alliance) program in Tainan, Taiwan, my journey as a student at NYU Shanghai, and hopefully many more adventures to come in the future. If you have questions about NSLI-Y, TUSA, NYU Shanghai, or anything in between, feel free to contact me through the Contact page of this blog.
I participated in the CLS Indonesian 2020 Virtual Institute and will be participating in the program again this summer. I was previously a finalist for the Boren Scholarship to study Mandarin Chinese in Taiwan before I had to decline the scholarship due to travel restrictions. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have about any of these programs!
